The last issue between the Haida people and the Government of British Columbia is that the Haida tribe should be able to have self-government. They should have self-government because other tribes have it too, like the Cree. The Haida people have proven to be loyal and trustworthy, so self-government isn’t out of the question. I believe they deserve self-government because things would be better run by themselves. They would be able to have a government elected by them to specifically watch over them and pay more attention, so more issues would be solved quicker and faster. More people would get united and everyone would become closer. This claim is responsible and having it would end up with pure success. So basically, I believe the Haida people are ready for self-government and I hope you, the public, can agree on this too.
