The Haida tribe from the past to present has changed a lot and to avoid extinction, change is needed. The Haida lived in poverty in the past and were barely able to provide food for their family. Things have changed a bit now, but more change is still needed. In order to have a successful life, more financial aid is needed to be given to the Haida people. In the past, the Haida people were getting assimilated by the government but now, the government has a new found respect for them. All the hard work and determination basically finally paid off. The Haida tribe worked hard in the past, so the future generation can enjoy freedom like they are right now. There have been a lot of tough negotiations and court cases that got the Haida where they are today, and the history behind all this is just a piece of art.
