The Recreational Fishing Treaty

The Recreational Fishing treaty was basically a treaty where the Fish was supposed to be protected on the Haida land. What was supposed to happen was that you can only have a maximum of 53 pounds of Fish a month and Fishing Company went over and got sued. The Fishing Company basically exceeding the amount that was allowed and the Haida people were taking action for their treaty being broken. The treaty basically protected the fish on the land of the Haida. So basically, the treaty only allowed 53 pounds of fish per person on a monthly basis.
